Southern Regional Water Pipeline Project

A joint venture involving United Utilities Australia and Transfield Services has been nominated as preferred proponent for the operations and maintenance of the proposed Southern Regional Water Pipeline (SRWP) in South Eastern Queensland.


Victor Harbor Wastewater Treatment Project

SA Water has entered into a contract with United Utilities Australia which will finance, design, construct and operate for 20 year. A new wastewater treatment plant for the town of Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide is now complete and fully operational.

 

Coliban Water Outsourcing

Campaspe Asset Management, an equal joint venture between United Utilities Australia and Origin Energy Asset Management, is carrying out operations for regional Victorian water utility Coliban Water.

 

City of Onkaparinga STEDS agreement

This unique 25-year-agreement covers redevelopment of the City of Onkaparinga's six septic tank effluent disposal schemes (STEDS) to a stage enabling the water to be used for the irrigation of vineyards in the McLaren Vale and Willunga region.

 

Macarthur Water Supply Project

Built in partnership with Transfield for Sydney Water under a 25-year Build Own Operate Transfer (Public Private Partnerships) contract, Macarthur Water Filtration Plant was commissioned late in 1995.

 

QNI Water Reuse Facility

Located at the Yabulu Nickel Refinery, a facility near Townsville, operated by BHP-Billiton subsidiary QNI, this state of the art desalination plant features next generation reverse osmosis membrane technology.

 

The Rural South Australian Water Filtration Project

United Utilities Australia is a 50% shareholder in Riverland Water, a consortium established to finance, design, build and operate 10 water treatment plants in regional South Australia, under a 25 year public-private partnership contract with the State Government of South Australia and SA Water.


Yan Yean Water Filtration Plant

The first public-private partnership contract in the Australian water industry, Yan Yean is a 155 Ml/d direct filtration plant that treats water from a shallow local reservoir to remove sediment, colour and odour.
